Through the process of art creation, I focus on how much I’ve grown as a human, and on the mental elasticity. It wasn’t always easy but it was satisfying to see myself achieve things I’ve never thought I would. I like to call it figuratively “the layers of my experience”. Every transformation places a layer on top of the previous layer of experience constructing a more sophisticated personality. However, at some point our first layers start to fade or even crack, but these are the foundation that hold everything together. The newer layers take over trying to fill the gaps, sometimes successfully and sometimes with malalignment. Frequently, we choose to get attached to one of the layers and voluntarily neglect others. But what’s even scarier, is if we choose to shelter ourselves from new experiences, rejecting new ideas, we will consequently reduce the stack of layers and downgrade our personality into its most primitive form.
